Melbourne’s Weather Gods

Melbourne’s Weather Gods

Right now, I am sitting in my fabulous home office, looking out at the ocean, getting excited about my next journey. I will be going to Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. I have lived in Melbourne on and off for more than 35 years. It’s wonderful to be returning as a tourist.

I will be exploring some of the outer suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula. I will be staying in Nar Nar Goon the first night of my journey. Don’t you just love that name? I can’t wait to find out what it means. It has to be an aboriginal name. So many of them have the double ‘oo’ sound and some are virtually¬†unpronounceable¬†until you get the hang of them.

My second stop will be Merricks Beach on the Westernport Bay side of the Mornington Peninsula. This bay is the home to the famous Phillip Island and the lesser known French Island, though they sit closely side by side.

Hope the weather gods smile on me whilst I am there! As anyone who has been to or lived in Melbourne knows, those weather Gods are fickle. I hope I have gained their favour for my visit.
